Our Story

Through a Child’s Eyes is an intimate, home-based Montessori school nestled in the heart of McDonough, Georgia. Founded by a dedicated Montessori educator and mother, the school was born from a desire to offer her own children—and the surrounding community—an authentic, high-quality Montessori experience grounded in care, respect, and intentionality.

As we look toward expansion in the 2026–2027 school year, our commitment remains clear: to deliver an exceptional Montessori education that supports not just the child, but the entire family. We recognize that a successful educational journey is built on collaboration, and we actively foster strong partnerships among parents, caregivers, educators, and administrators.

Our Philosophy

At Through a Child’s Eyes, success is defined not solely by academic performance, but by the development of the whole child. Our Primary Program, serving children ages 3 to 6, is designed to cultivate confident, capable individuals who are prepared to thrive—at home, in school, in the community, and throughout life.

Guided by the principles of Dr. Maria Montessori, we provide a thoughtfully prepared environment that supports each child’s natural development. Purposefully designed with child-sized furnishings and scientifically developed materials, our classrooms encourage independence, curiosity, and purposeful exploration.

Central to this experience is our dedicated Montessori-trained educator, who serves as an observant guide rather than a traditional instructor. Through intentional interactions, our teacher inspires and empowers each child—fostering independence, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning.
